About the Book:

Tim Loane's complementary satires, Caught Red Handed and To be Sure, established a new voice in 21st century Northern Ireland drama - a voice remarkable for its fearlessness in highlighting the hyprcrisies and doublethink of Ulster's 'green and orange' politics.

In the tradition of such anarchic writers as Dario Fo, Loane employs parody, burlisque, slapstick and downright ridicule, all underpinned by a fierce indignation reminiscent of Swift.

Introduced by the drama critic Mark Phelan, Comedy of Terrors is remorseless in its excoriating exposure of those who blithely claim to be the guardians of their people's conscience. It protrays with comic savagery a culture teetering on the brink of moral bankruptcy.
